According to Kelly, 1914, ‘2nd Hertfordshire Battery 4th East Anglian Brigade Royal Field Artillery [had] head quarters [at] Clarendon Hall, Clarendon road.’
Prior to this, ‘A & G Cos. 2nd (Hertfordshire), Volunteer Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment; Drill hall, Agricultural hall, Clarendon road.’ (Kelly, 1902). Kelly, 1908, lists Clarendon hall. By 1914 they were listed as ‘Hertfordshire Regiment (1st Battalion) (D Co.), 19 & 21 Eastcourt road; drill hall, Clarendon hall .’
Kelly, 1908, also lists, ‘Herts Yeomanry; A Squadron, 32 Market street.’
