The Times, Wednesday, Oct 10, 1900, reported: 'At Henley-on-Thames a new drill-hall for the use of the Rifle Volunteers, Yeomanry, and Church Lads' Brigade, has just been provided. The entire cost of the building has been defrayed by Mr. T. M. Drewett, who was a member of the Henley Company of Volunteers for nearly 30 years.'
