The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) 2nd (Weald of Kent) Volunteer Battalion
A Company, 5th (Weald of Kent) Battalion (The Buffs) East Kent Regiment,

Cranbrook's Causton Road drill hall provided a home for 'A' 5 Buffs, now used for cadets. There was an Instructor's house and a separate indoor range.

Kelly 1891 lists 'The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) 2nd (Weald of Kent) Volunteer Battalion: head quarters [and A Company], Stone street.'

Kelly, 1913, records 'A Company, 5th (Weald of Kent) Battalion (The Buffs) East Kent Regiment, Causton road.'
