7 Magazine Square was the Headquarters of North Midland ASC.
11 The Magazine housed the North Midland Mounted Brigade Company ASC. 19 Magazine Square was the base for Lincs & Leics Brigade Company North Midland ASC.

Oxford street was the Headquarters of A-G 4 Leicestershire. and the A,B,C Sections 2nd N Midland Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps. Kelly, 1908, lists the head quarters of 5th Territorial Battalion at The Magazine, Oxford street.

Two military hospitals are recorded in Leicester: the 5th Northern General Hospital and the North Midland Clearing Hospital.
